Q: What is your background?

A: Erin has been making custom cakes since 2010.  In 2012, she completed an intense year long Pastry and Baking program at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, KS.  There she learned to make delectable pastries as well as flavorful cakes and luscious buttercreams.  In 2013, Erin placed 2nd with her Steampunk Owl cake in the annual Threadcakes 3D cake competition hosted by Cake Central Magazine has featured her work in 2013 and 2015. In 2014 she moved back to her home town of Gladstone, ND where she operates her business from a licensed commercial kitchen.  Her goal is to provide you with a delicious, artistic centerpiece for your special event, one that friends and family will always remember!  


Q: What kind of ingredients do you use?

A:  Taste is just as important as looks so only the best ingredients make their way into our cakes and icings!  Cakes are made from scratch, never boxed mixes.  Icings and fillings use real fresh cream butter so it melts in your mouth, not sticks to it like shortening based icings.    Real fruit is used in our cakes and buttercreams.  Only the highest quality fondant, which has a flavor reminiscent of marshmallows, is used.   Some designs require fondant.  Rest assured, if you're not a fan of the taste, a layer of buttercream is always underneath and the fondant can easily be removed or eaten around.

Q: How much will my special party cake cost?

A: Pricing is determined by number of servings, flavors and time involved in creating the design.   A minimum of $150 is required.   

  • 8 inch round cakes serve 18-22 and start at $150

  • 9 inch round cakes serve 24-30 and start at $175

  • 2 tier 6 inch & 8 inch round cakes serve 26-32 and start at $255

  • Larger sizes are available.

  • 3D hand made fondant figures range from $35-$75.

  • Smash cakes (5" round single layer cake) that accompany a larger cake of the same flavor are $10 each.

  • 3D/sculpted/carved cakes require a minimum order of $250

**All of the above prices include one cake and icing flavor. Additional flavors are extra.**

Q: How much will my wedding cake cost?

A:  Wedding cakes require a minimum order of $500.  Prices start at $5 a serving for buttercream iced cakes and $6 a serving for fondant covered cakes (buttercream is underneath the fondant).  Sugar flowers, piping details, lace and other details will be an additional charge based on time involved in the decor.  2 cake and 2 icing flavors are included.  More flavors can be added for an additional fee.  A complimentary tasting for 2 and consultation is provided.  Many factors affect the amount of cake servings needed.  Contact us to help you determine an accurate number.

Q: Do you offer desserts other than cake?

A: Yes, we do!  We can create a dessert table with cake shooters, cupcakes, cookies and regular or individual sized pies, fruit crumbles , parfaits and cheesecakes.  Our minimum prices for party cakes and wedding cakes apply. Contact us for prices and flavor options.

Q: Do you personally design each cake you make, or can you replicate a design I found somewhere else?

A: Yes, to both!  A custom design can be created just for you, or a design you have found can be customized to fit your personal style.  

Q: How far in advance do I need to order my cake?

A: The earlier the better! Only 1-2 orders are accepted each week so weekends can fill up quickly. Party cakes can be reserved up to 6 months in advance and wedding cakes can be reserved up to 16 months in advance with a retainer.


Q: How do I reserve a date?

A: Once basic order details are confirmed, the retainer information will be provided. Party cakes require a non-refundable retainer of 50% to secure the date with the remaining due at delivery.  Wedding cakes require a non-refundable retainer of $300 to secure the date with the remaining due 3 weeks before the wedding.  


Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: Cash, checks and major credit cards are accepted!


Q: Where are you located?

A: We operate out of a commercial kitchen in Gladstone, ND that is licensed and inspected by the health department.  We do not have a storefront location.  Delivery to Dickinson, ND is included in all cake orders! For locations outside of Dickinson, delivery charges are $1 per mile one way.  As an example, an average delivery to Bismarck is $94.

Q: Do you offer cake stand rentals for wedding cakes?

A: Yes!  A beautiful cake stand can make your cake a real centerpiece for your wedding!  A refundable deposit and minimal rental fee is required.
